AmSteel-Blue Synthetic Winch Line is a reliable substitution for steel cables and winch lines. With equal strength to steel wire rope, yet with the added benefit of being buoyant, these 12-strand, single braid winch lines offer an ideal strength-to-weight ratio without any torque. This means that a swivel attachment is not required. In addition, AmSteel-Blue has minimal stretching, only 1% at full WLL (4:1), and boasts superior resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion. Compared to steel cables, AmSteel-Blue Winch Lines are significantly lighter, for example, a 3/4 " x 100' steel cable weighs 100 lbs, while an AmSteel-Blue rope of the same size is only 13.3 lbs - nearly 8 times lighter!
